One in six children in this country are hungry. That not only blows my mind, but makes me angry.
We are so blessed beyond belief out here in blogland, that I think we all need to share that with others. That is what we're supposed to do right? To whom much is given much is required. Trust me, it is so much more of a blessing to give than to receive.
This organization sends hungry kids home from school on weekends with backpack full of food to sustain them until they get back to school on Monday. All it takes is $80 to feed one child for the whole school year.
I hope that you will make a difference for just one child. Children truly are our future and it's our job to reach out and make sure not one is hungry.
