A Green, Black and White table for Dinner Group

We hosted our dinner group on Sat. night. I made a fresh arrangement for our centerpiece and set the table with one of my favorite color combos.I didn't use a tablecloth, preferring to see the beautiful wood of the table and have a liighter sense for summer. I placed a green and white placemat, then a round black and white placemat, a square white dish, a green dinner plate and a black and white scrolled dessert plate for my stack.<br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; I hope you are trying to keep COOL in this crazy heat! Last night I hosted 4 ladies for a dinner. We call ourselves The Crafy Ladies, because we started out getting together to do a craft. We still do but last night was just dinner. I wanted to have them since it might be the last time I could have them in this house! My colors were chosen because I wanted to use my hydrangeas that are now turning a beautiful green! 2 years ago we used my hydrangeas for the centerpieces for our daughter's wedding!!!! I love to use fresh flowers and fruits. The salad is one I remember my grandmother making, and thought these ladies would enjoy. It includes a layer of crispy lettuce, pineapple chunks, a dollop of Duke's mayonnaise, and grated cheddar cheese on top. Is that southern or what? Honestly, it is just wonderful and actually, my grandmother always used a pineapple ring instead of chunks. I made little cucumber sandwich bites to finish out the plates. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">We also had Mango/peach/lemonade iced tea, which is my version of a recipe that <a href="http://www.stonegableblog.com/">Yvonne at Stone Gable</a> posted a couple years ago. It's a sugar free tea and we drink it by the gallon here. The Blue Room

Hi everyone!  I know... two posts in a week from me is crazy. I really have been trying to get back in the swing of things because I love sharing things I'm doing around the house. I wanted to share a tablescape, which is the very reason I started blogging in the first place. I LOVE this blue:-) It is "Secluded Guestroom" and is by Colorplace at Walmart. One coat of this covered the red. I have used this brand of paint a lot, and I really like how it covers and wears. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I searched and searched for the perfect shade of blue that had that 1950s aqua feel which I so love in the vintage pyrex and melmac dinnerware. I love it with the gray trim on the doors also.
