~~~Look what I got!!!~~~

For Easter our daughter and Son-in-law brought me this beautiful hydrangea. And at the same time I had been looking (for a long time) for an olive bucket. However the REAL ones are VERY expensive and then Yvonne at Stone Gable reminded me that WALMART carried them!!!!! I had totally forgotten! So, I got online and ordered one right away. Until the weather starts to cooperate my hydrangea will live here!!! In the breakfast room, in my new "olive bucket". I love it and am going to age it so it looks a little more authentic. Hot Pink in the Spring Living Room

The pink typewriter

Don't you just love it? I do. In my search for 1950s pink and blue, I remembered my dad had this tucked away in the attic. From 1956, this Royal typewriter is actually what I typed several college term papers on in the late 1980s. My kids went crazy over this, and my dad had to bring another one for them to type on. They loved the instant gratification of seeing something they typed right in front of them. This past Friday evening we hosted our dinner group. So, I set an Easter table for us. I will use these dishes again on Easter Sunday when the family is all here! I wish my son could join us but he is in Fl. And our SIL's sister is serving our country in Germany. But they will be here in our hearts. I love this arrangement of faux tulips, I just didn't have time to run to the store for real ones which I would have preferred. We had a realtor here for 3 hours Fri. afternoon so time was crunched:) Here is the place setting. I used a crisp white tablecloth, a straw blue placemat, then my woven chargers. They remind me of an Easter basket!
