HAPPY Halloween Table!!!!!

Tomorrow is Halloween so I just had to do a Halloween table for us and YOU!!! I just got this tablcloth this year, several months ago, cause I knew it would be the perfect background for a Halloween table. I love the checks. I also knew I had these napkins and the FUN napkin rings! This first place setting uses a LARGE orange charger, a white dinner plate, an orange ruffled plate, a black and white swirl plate,and one of my SPOOKY smaller plates. I only bought 2 of the chargers, thinking I would only use them on the breakfast bar but may go back and get 2 more. ~~~A New GIFT!!!~~~

OMGoodness, I am so excited! The UPS man just rang the bell and we had no idea what he could be delivering since we hadn't ordered anything lately. I know, SHOCK!!!! But, we opened it up and  WHAT a BEAUTIFUL surprise!!! It is a housewarming gift from Joe's brother and SIL. A GORGEOUS pottery lantern from Pottery Barn! I am in love with it! I know I can use it all year round all over the house!! For now, this is where it will live.  I placed it on the tray on the coffee table in the living room. I love how the creamy color blends perfectly with the sofa. A Balsam Christmas...

Hi everyone! I was so hoping for a little bit of snow before I took outdoor photos, but this year it feels more like a tropical Christmas! My husband is perfectly happy with this weather. I want to share one of our porches and the most beautiful evergreens my mom brought me!<br /><br />I remember my grandmother always making swags of Balsam pine and white pine tied with a very effortless-looking red ribbon, so I use those a lot myself, although I am not as good at the ribbon tying!<br /><br />I have used a sled my grandfather made many years ago along with a garden basket filled with fresh greenery. The lantern is a vintage Southern railroad lantern one of two found here on the property. Balsam is 3,315 feet above sea level, and the highest standard gauge railway east of the Rocky Mountains crosses here.
