But I do have enough to use right now so I thought I would show you where and how I am using baskets! I showed you that I finally got this beautiful hutch that Joe MADE, here in the breakfast room. It has baskets on it and around it!<br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEimxHiKUe2DDOAw_l4N5hruHA2i88MNCEuMbUlMNnenyHKxakfjvAQx89983K-Ei-eeVVVBogqdJVNGhSCfyzIsy9NDkU4EmM3kpEO-3Mrr84gKbIwB8VllYyOtOGbDEKu2rWf3p9Mm0vg/s1600/IMG_0172.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEimxHiKUe2DDOAw_l4N5hruHA2i88MNCEuMbUlMNnenyHKxakfjvAQx89983K-Ei-eeVVVBogqdJVNGhSCfyzIsy9NDkU4EmM3kpEO-3Mrr84gKbIwB8VllYyOtOGbDEKu2rWf3p9Mm0vg/s1600/IMG_0172.JPG" width="480" /></a></div> The lamp has a rattan shade too. ~~~Adding Baskets to the Breakfast Room Wall~~~

Gradually I am pulling things out and adding some decor to walls and surfaces. We have been here over a year but with taking care of the other house I have not been really "on my game" so to speak. But I see the light at the end of the tunnel so I am having fun doing this and that around here. I love bskets and have been collecting them for YEARS!!! I wish I still had all of them but some got purged, sadly. I am finding places to use them here. So, this is the blank wall that I have been staring at.<br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjc77tY-BVqqfktcAnzLcgeSD1yOddH09dIrRwBbCcK_QXrJbWL2EpHsQDBoKHKKBZNKV88eFgwvofu7iU4tifaQbx9DC3tqvTs-zMKBDw9hO3IMGIdLrgQraoiegjxFxfneQA1DNFjfsw/s1600/IMG_1888.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjc77tY-BVqqfktcAnzLcgeSD1yOddH09dIrRwBbCcK_QXrJbWL2EpHsQDBoKHKKBZNKV88eFgwvofu7iU4tifaQbx9DC3tqvTs-zMKBDw9hO3IMGIdLrgQraoiegjxFxfneQA1DNFjfsw/s1600/IMG_1888.JPG" width="640" /></a></div> So, I pulled out some baskets and hung them around the window. Today is my hubby's birthday! I am finally ready to reveal my new kitchen. As I said before, the kitchen, morning room and great room are all one big space. So here we go. This picture above is the cooktop wall. The piece behind the cooktop is made of iron so safe to be behind the stove. Below we are going to the right and starting to look toward the great room.<br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpoNPV3hQm-qHrCNeUQ4qSXgYPAwuyWkvEWKjPS1OxFUpYPPhLYcedVZzT9UTG_E7ipWqsJwnpH5yirjLesi1ZDuQUvLhVA-m8ksLssNV1ZGLG8V7xYoiVldUDJ1ID869f5IfR-NeoLsPZ/s1600/10-20-12+012.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpoNPV3hQm-qHrCNeUQ4qSXgYPAwuyWkvEWKjPS1OxFUpYPPhLYcedVZzT9UTG_E7ipWqsJwnpH5yirjLesi1ZDuQUvLhVA-m8ksLssNV1ZGLG8V7xYoiVldUDJ1ID869f5IfR-NeoLsPZ/s640/10-20-12+012.JPG" width="640" /></a></div> Continuing to the right is the sink and breakfast bar. We are looking into the great room. I LOOOOOVE this open space!<br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjoUfBvk-sAbJgCqjKxhNMQkOSVlprcs1b0PzBDw_b0RbklBj6csZuo4ZWkGZe4kpgI1kGJf8FbJIKynDBIY2ExgvwZMNTueI5tjLzz0TQK8aawnBktkVbIBBu2ioXOfW-SDRXdzk2FgYCx/s1600/10-20-12+013.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjoUfBvk-sAbJgCqjKxhNMQkOSVlprcs1b0PzBDw_b0RbklBj6csZuo4ZWkGZe4kpgI1kGJf8FbJIKynDBIY2ExgvwZMNTueI5tjLzz0TQK8aawnBktkVbIBBu2ioXOfW-SDRXdzk2FgYCx/s640/10-20-12+013.JPG" width="640" /></a></div> Joe and I sit here for some meals but the TV is too small so sometimes we eat at the table too. I actually bought a big jar a few months ago for up there but haven't found it yet:):) The large jar on the very right is actually made of paper mache and is as light as a feather:) It LOOKS very heavy though.<br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEik0uOKb9niWZd99pFKE_QbYx464ugVZu68UT5xJvA56DIAYUJt6ghTRJkfyTg6Y90YT8a-YD_yoUKM6FS1YaZvjt4kNUSbW7el40q9GOr0BCWYImeH44c-XzKF1fnWJOesprKnnVk9puzF/s1600/10-20-12+018.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEik0uOKb9niWZd99pFKE_QbYx464ugVZu68UT5xJvA56DIAYUJt6ghTRJkfyTg6Y90YT8a-YD_yoUKM6FS1YaZvjt4kNUSbW7el40q9GOr0BCWYImeH44c-XzKF1fnWJOesprKnnVk9puzF/s400/10-20-12+018.JPG" width="400" /></a></div> This is on the other side of the kitchen. The 2 tiered piece I got at Home Goods when I went to the beach in Sept. I love it above the fridge. I used to collect poterry: for MANY years. I went to juried craft shows and got some nice, unique pieces. And tghis was before the prices went sky high. I got all of these pieces for MUCH less than I would have to pay now. They are fitting in nicely in this new house. I have repurposed the little piece that is several small pots connected together to store pens.<br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhS7UCLNhKcjSppgvJyxqesEAMRUDu9wheHz9eQ5nyF5XQ9wfoD3RrEGq3rCPJ1tROFn-NXyMP6LjlNlPr1dSbA9e3kPLwion15PQrQXy54RgwvUYn1UVUCljZ-6IzEQy_qUXNR9IED9MDd/s1600/10-20-12+022.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhS7UCLNhKcjSppgvJyxqesEAMRUDu9wheHz9eQ5nyF5XQ9wfoD3RrEGq3rCPJ1tROFn-NXyMP6LjlNlPr1dSbA9e3kPLwion15PQrQXy54RgwvUYn1UVUCljZ-6IzEQy_qUXNR9IED9MDd/s400/10-20-12+022.JPG" width="400" /></a></div> Joe's cocktail station til he gets the bar built downstairs.<br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEioX2r3UeHD7Aa-NCSk1fRm6fh3rkyITn4_NyUJj8IYFi6GulGPaQqCbqFOuq_C1mHNdvbfD_EI8m6h9a8xBh4Jij2vZA2L0OvpolxU95ea_iWybHXqsi5fEA54RyH0p8CdGoG1AFF1IK_d/s1600/10-20-12+023.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEioX2r3UeHD7Aa-NCSk1fRm6fh3rkyITn4_NyUJj8IYFi6GulGPaQqCbqFOuq_C1mHNdvbfD_EI8m6h9a8xBh4Jij2vZA2L0OvpolxU95ea_iWybHXqsi5fEA54RyH0p8CdGoG1AFF1IK_d/s640/10-20-12+023.JPG" width="640" /></a></div> I placed a VERY large basket that used to hold blankets on it's side and filled it with greens.<br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjI0WHyR4VWcdV9fupcIwxoBwT0TZgrEFgnHqLpKo_XzSkfm2IF4lRkKnjldfJIa91llTRQfKa0EHQwjN2e1q2bx0RY1naM-4Lpt_NeIlpo8B3KdU8t9ukkWTA2NSGHbZlVQfJ6or3MD8V/s1600/10-20-12+024.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjI0WHyR4VWcdV9fupcIwxoBwT0TZgrEFgnHqLpKo_XzSkfm2IF4lRkKnjldfJIa91llTRQfKa0EHQwjN2e1q2bx0RY1naM-4Lpt_NeIlpo8B3KdU8t9ukkWTA2NSGHbZlVQfJ6or3MD8V/s640/10-20-12+024.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>Another large pottery piece.
