My Fall Mantle

Good morning!!!! Continuing the tour of Fall around my house, today I am sharing the mantle. I changed it up a bit from last year. I put the 2 ceramic pumpkins up on some stands so they would show. ~~~Gardening this Weekend!!!~~~

This weekend we were BUSY! And by we I mean mostly Joe!!! I used to be able to help ALOT more with the mulching but it kills my back now so I do what I can. I did help and I did plant flowers but he does the bulk of the work. I am SO grateful. Here is what we got accomplished so far. We got 8 yards of mulch delivered and most of it is done now. Here is the front of the house. The HOA mulches the front, but I like the mulch we got much better. Today it will be changing. I got the flowers for the copper pot and will get them planted now. The huge boulders were on the property when we started building so we told the builder to LEAVE THEM, please!!!! We also have a hummingbird feeder here. ~~~Cheery, Sunny, Yellow and White Table~~~

Our weather is all over the place right now. I am NOT complaining though because I am SO sorry for all those who are being devastated by the tornados and floods. But when it is gray and rainy outside I need to set a cheery table for inside! What is better than yellow!!?? I got this yellow and white tablecloth last year and hadn't used it so that is my base. I wanted a little texture on the table so am using the round, rattan chargers. I really wanted yellow and white astromeria for my flowers but couldn't find them. ~~~Look what I got!!!~~~

For Easter our daughter and Son-in-law brought me this beautiful hydrangea. And at the same time I had been looking (for a long time) for an olive bucket. However the REAL ones are VERY expensive and then Yvonne at Stone Gable reminded me that WALMART carried them!!!!! I had totally forgotten! So, I got online and ordered one right away. Until the weather starts to cooperate my hydrangea will live here!!! In the breakfast room, in my new "olive bucket". I love it and am going to age it so it looks a little more authentic. ~~~Around the Garden in Fall~~~

I have been busy today putting Summer clothes away, getting the jeans and boots and tops out and cleaning and organizing the garage. While sweeping I noticed some flowers that are comig up from seed and blooming and LOTS of color all around the house. So, I thought I would share some Fall prettiness with you.
